It is a small space and we expecrt to fill the house both nights, so make your courtesy reservation early to be sure you get in.
Please reserve by 4pm on the day of the show you would like to see. No one will be checking messages after 4pm on those days.

Janaki Ranpura ~ J-J Trinket's Operations Theatre Series
Uncinate Hallucinations, A Science Fable, Toy theatre
An original story about olfactory hallucinations inspired by the growing popularity of books on body-based mind science, such as by Oliver Sacks, Deepak Chopra, V.S. Ramachandran, and others. It stimulates an audience member of any age to consider his or her sense of smell.

Janaki Ranpura of J-J Trinket's has been staging puppet pieces since graduating from Yale University in 1998. The current series, Operations Theater, explores ways to make scientific facts viscerally available to an audience. The work combines physical theater dynamics as developed in Paris by Jacques Lecoq with light play based on Larry Reed's reinvention of Balinese wayang kulit. Seth Eisen
Heesheros, Queeros and Other Vocal Phenomenons: A Two-Spirit Musical. This musical introduces audiences to a brief history of the geniuses of falsetto spells and the faerie activism of gender outlaws. Starring Wewah the Zuni Indian 3rd gender joined by dazzling, disco Diva Sylvester, Drag Queen turned Zen Abbot, Issan Dorsey and Azis, the Bulgarian, Chalga pop star as well as special surprise appearances. With rod puppets, marionettes, body puppets and shadow puppets.

Seth Eisen is an artist whose work is a hybrid of contemporary forms (performance, installation, book arts and new media) and the prehistoric (ritual, community, costume and fetish object). Seth has been performing, exhibiting, curating and collaborating with various artists in the Bay Area since 1994. His performance installations have been exhibited at The Oakland Museum of California, Theater Artaud, Zeum, Yerba Buena Gardens, SOMARTS, Theater of Yugen, Bing Gallery, 848 Community Space and Sanchez Art Center. Seth performed with several Butoh companies including Harupin–Ha, and Ink Boat from 1994-2001. Since 2002 he has been performing and touring with Keith Hennessy and the contemporary circus company, Circo Zero in the US and Europe. Seth is Faculty in Performance at John F. Kennedy University’s department of Arts and Consciousness and teaches visual and performing arts to adults and children in and around the Bay Area. For over 15 years Seth has been studying Two-Spirits, people who do not fit neatly into gender roles and are artists, performers, healers and leaders in society. This piece is dedicated to those who have lived in history or are alive now who have made a significant contribution to the liberation of queers everywhere. More info about Seth:www.eyezen.org

Jerome Waag
Jerome Waag wowed us at last years festival with his "Whirled Peas" and "Rolling Stone." We anxiously await his new silent object work, Godzilla.

Jerome Waag is a San Francisco artist and a chef at 'Chez Panisse' restaurant in Berkeley. Past performances include : 'Meet My Mom' at the Marin Headlands Center for the Arts, 'MElt the Pot : The Flavor of Democracy' at 667 Shotwell and 'The Park Deranger' in Golden Gate Park.

Toben & Marty Windahl
Between Dog and Wolf A horror poem recited using videotaped landscape elements, bits of old movies, pre-taped performance and live shadow Thois tells a story about the mechanization and industrialization of the pastoral Iowa landscape, nightmarish lakes of pig excrement, and the erosion of an economy and social fabric that was much more local in character. The piece tracks the course of a day, from dawn till dusk, and is a battle of sorts between the ghosts of those past, the ephemeral and delicate aspects of the local ecosystem and pseudo-rational mentality that sees land as a site purely of resource extraction.
Toben Windahl is a practicing architect. Marty Windahl is a video and sound artist. They are joined by Emily Gosack who has worked with East Bay shadow puppet group Teatro Penumbra.

Army of None Project
Army of None Project presents "Save the War!" The war is in trouble, people are skeptical and young folks aren't joining up. You--Yes you!-- will join the Administrations public relations team, meet the father of public relations, and ignore the stories of soldiers in Iraq to "Save the War!" Hand and rod puppets, a US Army veteran and a vegetable. US Army veteran Aimee Allison and David "PuppetGuy" Solnit (of Art & Revolution Convergence) journey through war recruitment and public relations past and present to help the puppets in charge find a solution. Emily Butterfly
The Wonder of Whistle is a sweet and simple hand puppet show about the importance, art and lifesaving technique of whistling.

Emily Butterfly is a Puppeteer,Illustrator, Muralista, Storyteller and Cartoon Voice Over specialist who has been gracing the stages, classrooms and galleries of the Bay Area since 1995.She works with The Big Tadoo Puppet Crew, Council Of Species, Puppet Medicine,Free Range Graphics and performs solo as well. It is especially her pleasure and honor to work through the medium of Puppetry to inspire healing, peace and practical knowledge in her audiences. Her work is symbiotically healing for herself as well as those with whom she shares it. The most cherished moment that she can remember in her career, was when she finished performing at an elementary school, and over heard a group of children incorporating the messages from her characters and stories into there free time on the playground. Weaving her inspiration into the context of there imaginative worlds with joy and empowerment. What a Blessing!!!

Wise Fool Puppet Intervention
Cardboard Meditations on Food Politics. With their inimical slap-dash style, Wise Fool artists K.Ruby and Liz Lisle present super short works in paper, projection and cardboard that address the state of the world of food, bees and gardening.
